Lake Cottage Remodel
This over-sized A-Frame was a fun project due to the budget. The client was a blast to work with and he had locked this one down for nearly 50% less than its market value. The house was far from eye candy, but it had a unique feature. The water was located merely 5’ from the Army Corps of Engineers line which is extremely rare. So being that the house was built right on the back property line, you could sit in the living room and feel like you’re floating out at sea. So a giant cruise ship was my inspiration. I insisted that we cover the entire back of the house with floor-to-ceiling windows revealing the beautiful sunrise and sunset that this lake view offered with each day. We also popped out a few dormers in order to increase the head height and square footage within the home. After the remodel, this home was valued over $800,000.
