Rarely have I ever argued that vaulting the ceilings is NOT a good idea. It is ALWAYS a good idea, as it adds depth and a more custom feel to any home. Sometimes there’s only so much you can do to stay within budget. This was a small ranch home on the lake. I was able to re-configure the floor plan to utilize every square inch. I added another gable onto the back in order to push it as close to the back property line as possible so that you could have an open concept living/kitchen area. A beautiful architectural design along with a very talented interior designer makes this small lake home bungalow one of my favorites. They ended up making 200k in profit on this one even after the extensive remodel.
